On Tuesday, Nick Schulman won a $25,000 buy-in high roller at the World Series of Poker, earning more than $1.6 million and his fifth WSOP gold bracelet.
“I felt really free out there,” Schulman told reporters after the big win. “I felt very grateful to be there. It was really a charmed final table.”
He won a massive coin flip with pocket queens against ace-king to start the final table, grabbing nearly half of the chips in play, and never looked back. Heads-up play only lasted one hand when his top pair held against runner up Noel Rodriguez’s flopped flush draw.
